EON Kids Academy is a bilingual English after-school program launched on April 6, 2026, in Tokyo. We go beyond traditional academics by nurturing creativity, collaboration, leadership, and communication in both English and Japanese. Our curriculum blends global thinking with life skills to prepare learners for a connected future.

We are looking for a Full-Time Instructor who is passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment. This role goes beyond teaching. You will support the full daily experience of our After School Program, including:
Teaching English
Supporting homework
Managing classroom routines
Ensuring student safety
Collaborating closely with the team
As part of a startup team, you will play an important role in building the culture and quality of EON Kids Academy from the beginning.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan lessons according to the curriculum requirements
Deliver daily English-based lessons (phonics, reading, listening, speaking, and writing)
Lead interactive activities such as games, group projects, and STEAM inquiry-based lessons
Conduct themed, intensive learning programs throughout the school vacation periods, such as the Spring, Summer, and Winter programs
Guide learners through lessons that are focused on developing Social Emotional Learning skills and Life Skills
Implement differentiated instruction to cater to the diverse English proficiency levels of elementary students (Grades 1–6).
Learner Support
Provide homework support focusing on establishing independent study routines and time-management skills instead of simply completing assignments.
Guide learners in communication, study habits, and social skills
Encourage confidence and active participation
3. Classroom Management
Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Manage daily routines including arrival, transitions, activities, lesson material organization
Handle student behavior calmly and respectfully
4. Curriculum Support
Follow lesson plans created by the Curriculum Creator / Head Instructor
Prepare instruction materials (worksheets, games, etc.)
Provide feedback to improve lessons and learner experience
5. Safety & Supervision
Ensure learner safety at all times
Conduct attendance checks and supervision
Support emergency drills and safety procedures
Assist with student movement (inside/outside, bus support if needed)
6. Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Curriculum Creator / Head Instructor and BPOM
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Share learner updates and observations
7. Learner Progress Report
Document learner activities, progress, and performance
Issue learner progress reports quarterly, which include:
Assessment results and Observation of learners progress
8. Observation and Evaluation
Instructor performance is periodically observed to maintain high standards and support professional development. This is guided by an evaluation rubric that considers the following key areas:

Provide simple updates when needed

Scope of Role
This position does not include:
Full curriculum design
Business decision-making
Budget or financial management
You will focus on teaching, student support, and daily program operations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required (any field)
Degree in Education, English, Psychology, or related field is a plus
Teaching certifications (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc.) are an advantage
Experience
At least 1–2 years experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, afterschool programs, or childcare)
Experience handling group classes (not only one-on-one)
ESL / EFL teaching experience is preferred
Prior experience in teaching hands-on STEAM lessons is highly preferred.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI and fundamental coding skills is a plus, though not required.

What we offer
Salary
¥280,0000 - ¥330,0000 per month
¥3,360,000 ¥3,960,000 per year
Negotiable based on experience and skills
